Another interesting month for railway activity in the locality, culminating in the visit of A1 Pacific no. 60163 "Tornado" to the Severn Valley Railway, an event which proved to be a sell-out on all nine days of the engine's stay at Kidderminster. There was also the end of season diesel gala, whilst a number of interesting railtours operated on the main network. The website "hits" counter seems to have been following Tornado around with some record-breaking figures occuring regularly throughout the month - thank you all for looking at my (and your) pictures.

The S.V.R. held yet another highly successful annual Autumn Steam Gala event during late September. As is usual a number of visiting locomotives were present and Ivatt "4" no. 43106 from the home fleet also made its debut after its long-awaited return from overhaul at Bridgnorth.
